The Future of Social Ventures (Global Social Venture Competition Regional Finals)

You're invited to an afternoon of conversations about the state and future of social ventures and to engage with young social innovators from top business schools who will present their solutions to the world's most pressing problems.

A keynote will kick-off the event, followed by presentations by the Eastern Region Finalists: NeMo, Street Smarts VRLusoLabs, and Leaf . A panel of experts will decide which two teams will move on to represent the U.S. Eastern Region in the Global Finals: Arun Gore, President and CEO, Gray Ghost Ventures; Ayesha Khanna, President, Civic Incubator, Points of Light; Rohit Malhotra, Founder and Executive Director, Center for Civic Innovation, Dar Vanderbeck, Chief Innovation Officer, CARE USA. The audience will be engaged in a  Q&A with the teams and will vote for their favorite team to win the Audience Social Impact Award. A reception will follow where the judges will announce the top two teams to advance to the Global Finals (held in Milan, Italy this year.)

The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) empowers the next generation of social entrepreneurs by providing them with mentoring, exposure, and over $80,000 in prizes to transform their ideas into ventures that address the world’s most pressing challenges. Teams from across the globe learn how to design scalable models through a process that emphasizes stakeholder discovery, business innovation, and social impact assessment.

The Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech is one of the nine Global Partners responsible for finding and supporting great teams from across the Eastern US. Each region sends their top two teams to the Global Finals.

GSVC at Georgia Tech is brought to you by a passionate MBA student team in collaboration with Scheller's Net Impact chapter and under the guidance of the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
